Who we are

Merid Health Pty Ltd (ABN: [TO BE INSERTED]) is an Australian-owned telehealth platform based in Melbourne, Victoria. We are committed to protecting your privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address (provided voluntarily)
  • Consent status (whether you agreed to receive launch updates)
  • Technical data for security: IP address (used only for rate limiting and deleted after 1 hour)

We do not collect health information via the waitlist form. If you later use our clinical services, separate consent and data handling procedures apply.

When you visit the Site, we also collect the following anonymous usage data automatically via Cloudflare Web Analytics:

  • Pages visited and page-load performance metrics
  • Referring URL (the page that linked you here)
  • Browser name and version, operating system, and device type
  • Country of visit (derived from your IP address — your IP address is not stored)

This data contains no directly identifiable personal information. It is not linked to your email address or waitlist entry.

Why we collect it

We use your email to:

  • Notify you when Merid Health launches in your area
  • Send important updates about your waitlist status
  • Prevent abuse of our sign-up system (via temporary IP tracking)

We will not use your email for marketing beyond launch communications unless you provide additional consent.

We use analytics data (collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics) to:

  • Understand how visitors find and use the Site
  • Measure page performance and improve load times
  • Inform decisions about content and site structure before launch

Disclosure to third parties

We engage Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) as a service provider in two capacities:

  • Waitlist data storage: Your email address and consent status are stored in Cloudflare KV, which may replicate data across global edge locations for reliability. Cloudflare acts as a data processor and is contractually bound to comply with applicable privacy laws.
  • Website analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics processes anonymous site usage data (described above) on our behalf. No cookies are set, no personal information is transferred, and your IP address is used only to determine your country and is not stored by Cloudflare.

Because Cloudflare, Inc. is incorporated in the United States, data processed by Cloudflare may be transferred to or stored in the United States. By using this Site, you acknowledge this cross-border transfer. Cloudflare's handling of data is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We will not disclose your email to third parties for marketing purposes.

Analytics

This Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool provided by Cloudflare, Inc. It does not use cookies, does not use browser fingerprinting, and does not track visitors across websites. No personally identifiable information is collected as part of analytics.

Data collected includes: page views, page-load performance, referring URL, browser name, OS, device type, and visitor country. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual visitors.

Because no cookies are set and no personal information is collected for analytics purposes, a cookie consent banner is not required or presented. However, if you prefer not to have any usage data collected, you may use a browser-level tracker blocker or script blocker — these will prevent the analytics beacon from running without affecting any site functionality.

Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting us at hello@meridhealth.com. We will respond within 30 days as required by the APPs.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at hello@meridhealth.com. If we cannot resolve your concern, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

Data retention

Waitlist entries are retained for 24 months from your sign-up date. If you have not engaged with our services within that period, your email will be automatically deleted from our systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at meridhealth.com/privacy-policy.html.
